STAFF AND TRAINING
INFORMATIONWhen families attend a fair or similar "amusement" event,
they have one supreme expectation: that they are bringing their family into
a safe environment and at Luehrs’ Ideal Rides, that assurance is our number
one priority.
Luehrs’ Ideal Rides takes many steps to provide your family with the
cleanest and safest environment. Here are a few of our most important
policies:
Employees
All LIR employees must pass pre-employment drug test and a nationwide
background check before they are even considered for a position in our
company. All LIR employees must be free of drugs and alcohol and are
subjected to random drug testing at all times. All LIR employees must adhere
to strict company policies regarding uniforms and cleanliness.
Training/Maintenance
Staff members attend seminars to keep up to date with the ever changing
safety regulations and training programs. LIR employees take pride in
operating safely and all of our staff has been put through our rigorous
in-house training and orientation program.
All employees participate in the daily inspection process. All rides are
inspected upon completion of erection and being dismantled. Each ride is
carefully inspected and checked prior to daily opening. These inspections
are documented, checked and kept on file by our ride supervisors. These
supervisors constantly check the equipment during opening hours as well as
overseeing the pre-inspections.
We have full time, on duty staff members that have completed the same
training and testing as our state ride inspectors.
Not only does LIR have a comprehensive maintenance and inspection
schedule, they also take steps to make certain their ride operators and
midway workers are trained and knowledgeable regarding safety and
cleanliness. Experience and training combine with maintenance and daily
inspections to create a safe environment.
